Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American performer and actress, started with a series of rap songs which dealt with the subject of sexuality and race. The career of the singer and actress grew to Hollywood after she released several rap songs. Nora Lum was born to Chinese-Korean immigrants in Forest Hills Queens. Her first experience with music came via the trumpet. She also received classical and jazz training later delving into hip-hop as a teenager. While at school, she majored in journalism and women's studies, and was studying Mandarin in Beijing for a stint. The focus changed to music only after she completed her degree. Her song My Vag, a response track to Mickey Avalon's My Dick gained viral popularity via the Internet in the year 2012. It was eventually included on her first album Yellow Ranger released in 2014. The other viral hit songs included Queef song and the winking NYC Bitchethe hometown tour for $. The track that was published specifically linked to The Awkwafinas Guide to NYC, her guide to travel in 2015. Her resume included both the musician and author. Now she was looking for a new career path in acting. As well as early shows, such Girl Code and Tawk - she was in films Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. Her breakout roles included Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP debuted in June.
